Heritage Day @ Huron Pointe Sportsmen's Assoc.

Heritage Day offers many exciting events:  Shooting sports available (shotgun, b-b gun, black powder and archery) with certified instructors on hand for one on one help to youngsters and novices.  Experienced shooters are welcome also!  A unique 30 target 3-D archery course through our woods is set for Heritage Day.


This year’s event is sponsored by:  The National Rifle Association and Waste Management.  Please give your support to all of our supporters.


Many other events are planned:  Opening ceremony will be at 9:00 a.m. with the event closing at 6:00 p.m.  There will be bird house, duck decoy and t-shirt painting, arrow cresting, trout pond, fly tying, DNR laser shoot, face painting, a huge bug display, paint ball shoot, cowboys, Macomb Co. Sheriff Dept. returns, the Lenox Township Firefighter’s will have their “Fire Safety House”, pointing dogs and labs, Animal Encounters will bring their live alligator and other exotic animals.  Safari Club will showcase their “Sensory Safari” display and the Michigan Trappers Assoc. will show the age old art of trapping, the Michigan Military Technical & Historical Society, Macomb Macaroni Kid is back with their own unique craft, and Cuervo Army Strong Challenge (archery shoot to support the troops).


Admission is free.  Food and refreshments are available.  Some events are free and others require the purchase of tickets.


Certified instructors available for all shooting sports.  Kids bring your hunter safety card.  No card – no problem!  Just attend our brief safety course, receive an arm band and shoot at Heritage Day.


Heritage Day proceeds benefit education, promotion and protection of our outdoor heritage.
