Sofia the First; The Curse of Princess Ivy

We had lots of fun last weekend previewing the movie with some Macaroni Kids!

November 22, 2014
Last weekend I had the pleasure of hosting a preview party for the new Sofia the First: The Curse of Princess Ivy for some of our Macaroni Kids at Tea Party Castle in Shelby Township!  The venue was perfect and the girls came ready for a princess party dressed in their favorite dresses.  We started off the party with some "Princess Tea" and snacks while the girls colored, put on their princess crowns and talked and giggled.

All was quiet as we dimmed the lights for the movie.  I think the girls were excited to see one of their favorites, Rapunzel, when she made a special appearance in the movie and used her long hair to help Amber and Sofia when they got into trouble!  In true Sofia spirit, the movie teaches a valuable lesson to the girls when Princess Ivy appears to take over the kingdom after Amber steals Sofia's amulet and wishes for a princess to appear.

After the movie, the girls enjoyed a little game of "Princess, Princess, Dragon" (Duck, Duck, Goose) to give everyone a chance to move around.  Then, the girls sat in a circle while we talked about their favorite parts of the movie and the lesson learned. The girls had a wonderful time being princesses for a few hours and we thank Tea Party Castle for hosting a beautiful party and Marlaina Joy Photography for providing us with beautiful pictures of the event!

Don't miss the premiere of Sofia the First: The Curse of Princess Ivy on the Disney Channel tomorrow, November 23rd at 7:00 EST!
