Occupation Station

By Sponsored Content January 7, 2017
Macomb Township has a new place to play!  Occupation Station opened this past summer and offers imagination based play areas themed around dream jobs for children ages 1-8 years old.  The play areas include a bakery, police station, fire station, animal hospital, athlete’s corner, auto center, space station, school, fitness area, dance studio, as well as a puppet show area.  The library is full of books from board books all the way up to 5th grade reading level and also has some fun learning games and activities.  There is a story time everyday at 11:30 AM.  Children with a monthly membership receive a free book to keep.
Occupation Station promotes giving back to the community and has a “Tree of Giving” with a local charity selected each month where customers can make a donation to the charity.  Past charities include: Wigs 4 Kids, Vision Hope, Turning Point Coat Drive, Canned Food Drive for Feed the Bay Program, and Toys for Tots.  Anytime a community member participates in the charity they get a leaf or apple to write their name on to hang from the tree.

Kids can drop in with an accompanied adult for the day at a cost of $10 per child, or purchase a monthly pass for unlimited play for $25 per child.  Children receive a book to keep as a monthly member as Occupation Station also promotes the importance of reading.  Children also receive a color page to complete in the art studio area with every visit.

Occupation Station is located at 21984 23 Mile Road at the intersection of 23 Mile and Card Road in Macomb Township.  It is open for drop in play from 9:00AM-3:00PM every Monday – Saturday.  Private parties are available on Saturdays at 4:00PM or Sundays at 1:00PM and 4:00PM.  See the website for party package details www.theoccupationstation.com.  Field trips for schools, daycares, and churches are also available.  Call (586) 221-1482 to schedule a field trip.
