Lacrosse Camp

Boys and Girls, Grades 3rd-8th

August 28, 2015
Welcome to the sport of Lacrosse. Lacrosse is one of the fastest growing sports in the country and with good reason. If you like hockey, soccer, basketball or maybe football, you will love lacrosse! It is a fast paced team sport. There are ten players frantically trying to move a ball down the field with a stick and get it into a net for a goal.  Lacrosse is an excellent, high action, team sport!

The origin of lacrosse dates back to Native American tribes of the Eastern United States, Southern United States and the Great Lakes region. Michigan has a great lacrosse history. If anyone has been to Fort Mackinaw, you might have learned about lacrosse. A French missionary named Jean De Brebeuf named lacrosse while watching a game being played by the Huron Indians in 1636.

Macomb Macaroni Kid, along with Chesterfield Township Parks and Recreation department is proud to present Lacrosse Camp. September 21st though 24th from 6 to 8 pm at Pollard Park. Play hard, play smart and play together to experience the exciting sport of Lacrosse!
